My name is Mary C. Olarte. I have worked here at Holy Cross Lutheran preschool since August 2008. I teach in our pre-k class. I am originally from Columbia. I am the fourth child out of fourteen. I took classes to be a teacher and graduated in 1968 in Columbia. I came to the United States in December 1971. I got married in 1972. We had two boys, Alex and Steve and two girls, Monica and Vanessa. After 25 years of marriage, we divorced in 1999. In 2000, I moved to California and continued working in early childhood education. In 2008, God led me to Holy Cross and this has really changed my life. I am able to see the value of not only teaching and communicating with the children and their families, but also sharing the love of Jesus to them all.
